The Moreton-in-Marsh Show, a celebration of local agriculture, debuted in 1949 on the Batsford Estate, its permanent home that's grown alongside the event's success.

This dedication to improvement reflects the spirit of its founders: the Cotswold Agricultural Society, The Moreton Shire Horse Society, and the Moreton-in-Marsh and District Agricultural Society.

Choosing September 3rd for the first show, they established a tradition of early autumn gatherings. Today, the show's popularity draws visitors nationwide.
