The Cotswolds is an area of England which covers six counties. The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers an area of approximately 787 square miles (2,040 square kilometres), a huge part of which is farmland - possibly around 80%.

The Cotswolds AONB is the largest area of oustanding natural beauty and lies across the boundaries of six English counties, mainly Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.
