Merilyn (www.merilynbrason.co.uk) paints seascapes, skyscapes, and waves using the medium of oil paints. Wilde without the Boy
Wilde without the Boy

Wilde without the Boy | Friday 21st May | 7.30pm

Wilde without the Boy and the Ballad of Reading Gaol is Gareth Armstrong's brilliant dramatisation of "De Profundis" Oscar Wilde's searing letter to his lover, written from his Reading Gaol cell. The piece is a window into the bruised soul of a literary genius. Wilde's poem The Ballad of Reading Gael narrates the execution of Charles Thomas Wooldridge, convicted of murdering his wife. It is underscored by a beautiful, original and specially comissioned score by the award-winning composer, Simon Slater.

Performer Gerard Logan (Olivier Nominee, The Stage's Best Solo Performance at the Edinburgh Festival).

Tickets £12.50. Licensed bar. Doors open at 7.00pm

All new piano club

All New Piano Club | Wednesday 26th May | 2pm

A new post lockdown piano club is starting on Wednesday 26th May from 2-4pm offering a wonderful opportunity for amateur musicians who have worked hard at their music for the past year or so finally to play for other people.

Since acquiring the Steinway grand piano the Shed hosted hugely successful and popular Tea concerts on Wednesday afternoons with local musicians playing for an appreciative and interested audience. It is hoped that our new Piano Cub 21 will build on this and incorporate the warm social atmosphere of previous gatherings.

Tickets £2.50. Doors open at 1.30pm
