Visit Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum

SOFO offers its visitors engaging and immersive experiences through a range of temporary exhibitions and permanent displays, which include a recreated Great War trench, a life-size mock up section of a D-Day Horsa Glider and a wide range of other interactive exhibits.

Our permanent displays give visitors a look at the life of a 21st century soldier, the Blood and War of the frontline throughout history, and shed light on the 'Secret War' of espionage operations during the Second World War. Discover the story of Winston Churchill in the Queens Own Oxfordshire Hussars, and the liberation of Bergen-Belsen by the Oxfordshire Yeomanry with accounts from soldiers and camp survivors.
