Final resting place of Katherine Parr

Sudeley Castle is also the only private castle in England to have a queen buried within its grounds. Visitors can explore the beautifully restored 15th century St Mary's Church where Katherine Parr, the last of Henry VIII's six wives, now lies entombed.

Katherine Parr (1512-1548) was the sixth and final wife of King Henry VIII of England. She was the only of his wives to survive him.

Katherine Parr died on 5 September 1548, eight days after giving birth to a daughter, Mary. Katherine Parr is buried in St. Mary's Chapel on the grounds of Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire,.
