Westonbirt Arboretum

Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, near Tetbury in Gloucestershire, is renowned worldwide both for its tree and shrub collection and beautifully landscaped grounds.

Today the collection contains around 15,000 trees and shrubs covering some 600 acres of Grade 1 Listed Landscape.

Westonbirt Arboretum is located in Gloucestershire, about 3 miles (5 km) southwest of the town of Tetbury. The address is Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, Tetbury, GL8 8QS.

To get to Westonbirt Arboretum by car, take the A433 from Tetbury or Cirencester. By train, the nearest stations are Kemble and Yate. From either station, it is a 20-minute taxi ride to the Arboretum.

The entrance fee to Westonbirt Arboretum is from £13 for adults and £4 for children (5 to 18 years old). Prices last updated May 2025.

For members of Batsford Arboretum and Friends of Westonbirt entrance is free of charge

Under 5s go free and don't require a ticket.
Tickets can be purchased on site or pre-booked online.
After paying entry, there are no parking charges at Westonbirt Arboretum.

Dogs are welcome on the central downs area on a lead.

Dogs are permitted off the lead in Silk Wood as long as they are kept under control, remain in sight and return when called.

Dogs are not permitted in The Old Arboretum and inside the main restaurant (except assistance dogs).

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the whole arboretum.
