The Cotswolds

Frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the Cotswolds

What is the largest town in the Cotswolds?

The largest town in the Cotswolds is Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

In Roman times Cirencester was an extremely important town, second only to London. So it's perhaps not surprising that Cirencester is home to the Corinium Museum where you will find that the bulk of the exhibits are from the Roman town of Corinium Dobunnorum which is what Roman Cirencester was known as.
